As the founder of the most innovative and one of the largest independent vehicle dealerships in South Africa, Dawood Olgar has a proven track record of success built on perseverance and an unwavering commitment to excellence. A formidable entrepreneur, he believes in the power of human will combined with the potential inherent in technology.
Known far and wide by his surname, Olgar boasts notable skills in management, sales and accounting, and has an enviable ability to adapt to the ever-changing market environment. In 2016 he completed Harvard Business School’s Creating Shared Value certification course. It was the first time that his instinctive approach to sustainability and a shared value-approach to business began to take form. In 2017 he enrolled at the Gordon Institute of Business Science in Johannesburg and completed the business school’s Leading in a Digital Economy programme, winning the Most Innovative Project design in a Digital Economy accolade for his commitment to pioneering sustainable technologies in his industry.
Olgar believes in the power of using big data analytics to scale his company sustainably, while keeping his clients happy and satisfied.
Mohammad Olgar: General Manager
A car enthusiast, Mohammad has been involved with managing the administration aspect at Olgar’s Auto since joining the team in 2012. With nine years’ experience in the sector, Mohammad’s fervent commitment to Olgar’s Auto is reflected in his hunger to learn, his ability to take on new roles and his enviable skill at multi-tasking; an essential component in such a competitive industry. In his downtime Mohammad is a keen cricketer. And, when it comes to the open road, he loves nothing more than getting behind the wheel of a Ferarri 458 Italia.
Phindile Bhadi: Client Relations Manager
Phindile has been a part of Olgar’s Auto since the dealership’s conception and boasts a decade’s experience in the sector. Her enthusiasm, loyalty and drive have made her an integral member of the Olgar’s Auto team. She primarily deals with fostering long-term relationships with our clients and handles complex matters with care and approachability. Olgar’s Auto is renowned for our excellent customer service and Phindile pioneers this core value. Phindile takes this sociable nature into her personal life, where hanging out with friends is an important part of her life, she is also a keep TV buff and adores listening to music. Her car of choice? Well the BMW x4, naturally!
Fanyana Davison: Sales Manager
Fanyana joined Olgar’s Auto in 2012 as a fresh-faced junior with just a year’s experience under this belt. Over the past six years he has built up strong relationships with our clients. This has cultivated a sense of loyalty from our clients who continue to engage with Olgar’s Auto for their vehicle needs. His versatility and consistent drive to improve are just two reasons why Fanyana is one of the most valued assets within the Olgar’s Auto team. On a personal note, Fanyana is a passionate music devotee, you’ll frequently find him listening to music or attending concerts. His car of choice must, therefore, have a quality sound system.
Taahir Sayed: New Business/Marketing Manager
Taahir is the driving force behind the Olgar’s Auto marketing machine, a role which unites his personal and professional passions. Taahir, who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic and web design, started working in the vehicle industry at the age of 19, buying and selling cars. His enthusiasm for vehicles of all shapes and sizes is legendary and he is a fan of classics, rust buckets and even hypercars. Picking a favourite vehicle is a challenge, but he admits to a soft spot for the BMW M5. Taahir switches four wheels for two each weekend, and is a keen cyclist. He also enjoys playing video games in his spare time and spending time with family and friends.
